Katy’s Hostel is a traditional lodging place for travelers located in the unique village of Llao Llao. Surrounded by lush woods, snowcapped mountains and countless lakes, it first opened its doors to the public over 40 years ago on the initiative of  a couple of Slovene emigrants (Katy and Antonio Kastelic).

Ever since then, three contiguous generations have wholeheartedly welcomed travelers and guests from all over the world, doing their best to make sure they feel at home.

The quietness and serenity afforded by nature offer an incomparable ambience of harmony and relaxation that is coupled with a food-laden dining table filled with a great variety of hand-made organic products from our very own backyard, cooked and served with the devotion and care only years of experience may deliver.

From inside the guest room, the visitor gets a stunning view of these jaw-dropping landscapes, including the yard, woods and surrounding mountain ranges. The living room and dining room are just as cozy as one would desire in order to enjoy a wide array of mouthwatering handmade delicacies offered on the breakfast menu. The hostel also features a barbecue hut, the perfect setting for gatherings and special events.

Encircled by a one-acre landscaped area, Katy’s Hostel provides the best atmosphere for rest, relaxation and intimacy with nature. Fruit trees, fine fruit plantations and an on-site organic farm are but a few examples of the countless natural attractions awaiting for you in this Eden-like retreat. A lavishly set dinner table makes the perfect backdrop to these moments, offering handmade pastries and freshly baked bread from our woodstove, as well as homemade jams.
